1. Conformance Level
This Website has been adapted to meet the requirements of the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adaptations), 5773-2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA, which is aligned with the international Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) at level AA.
2. Accessibility Features Implemented on the Website
The Website was designed and implemented with accessibility in mind, including:
- Semantic structure: Use of proper HTML tags (headings, content regions, navigation), enabling screen-reading software to correctly interpret the pages.
- Keyboard navigation: The Website can be navigated using the keyboard alone, without a mouse. Tab order matches the visual reading order.
- "Skip to content" link: A link at the top of each page allows direct skipping to the main content, without navigating through the menu each time.
- Visible focus indicator: Elements that can be navigated to via keyboard display a clear focus outline.
- Alternative text: Meaningful images include alt text describing their content. Decorative images are marked as empty.
- Color contrast: Text and background colors were carefully chosen to maintain a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for regular text.
- Flexible text sizing: Text can be enlarged by 200% (Ctrl + or Cmd +) without loss of content or functionality.
- Reduced motion support: The Website respects the user's preference for reduced motion (
prefers-reduced-motion), disabling animations accordingly. - ARIA labels: Interface elements not handled by standard tags carry clear aria-label attributes.
- RTL support: Full Hebrew right-to-left support, alongside an English left-to-right version.
3. Browser and Assistive Technology Compatibility
The Website has been tested on common, up-to-date browsers — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge in the two most recent versions — on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android operating systems.
Compatibility testing was performed with common screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver).
