1. General
This privacy policy (the "Policy") applies to the website of Schwebel Law (the "Firm," "we"), available at schwebel-law.com (the "Website"). The Policy describes the information collected from visitors, the purposes for which we use it, and how it is stored and protected.
Use of the Website constitutes consent to this Policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Website.
2. Data Controller
The data controller responsible for collecting and processing information is Schwebel Law, principal: Yona Schwebel, Adv., located in Tel Aviv, Israel. You may contact us about any privacy matter using the details at the bottom of this document.
3. Information We Collect
Use of the Website does not require registration or providing personal information. However, some information is collected automatically during browsing:
- Technical information: IP address, browser and operating system, screen resolution, interface language, referrer, and pages visited on the Website.
- Analytics information: Aggregated statistical data about usage patterns, using privacy-friendly analytics services that do not require tracking cookies (Plausible / Vercel Analytics).
- Direct correspondence: If you contact us by email or phone, we retain the correspondence and the contact details you provided, in order to respond and follow up.
4. Purposes of Processing
The information is collected and processed solely for the following purposes:
- Operating and maintaining the Website and improving the user experience;
- Security and prevention of misuse;
- Aggregated statistical analysis of browsing patterns, without personal identification;
- Responding to inquiries initiated by email or phone;
- Compliance with legal obligations, as applicable.
5. Lawful Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For visitors covered by the GDPR, processing is based on one of the following lawful bases:
- Legitimate interest of the Firm in operating, securing, and improving the Website;
- Consent (implied through use of the Website with respect to non-identifying analytics);
- Pre-contractual measures with respect to correspondence initiated by visitors.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Website does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We may use technical cookies necessary for operating the Website, as well as a language-preference cookie (HE / EN) stored in your browser. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect some functionality.
7. Sharing with Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or transfer personal information to third parties, except in the following cases:
- Service providers: Hosting, analytics, and CDN providers, operating under data processing agreements (DPAs) and industry-standard security and privacy levels.
- Legal obligations: Where required by law, court order, or formal demand of a competent authority.
- Protection of rights: In rare cases where necessary to protect the rights of the Firm or its clients.
8. Cross-Border Transfers
Some of our service providers (hosting, analytics) may store data on servers outside Israel and the European Economic Area. Any such transfer is made under appropriate legal safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, or adequacy decisions.
9. Data Retention
Aggregated analytics data is retained for up to 24 months. Direct correspondence (email, recorded phone communication) is retained for the period necessary for service delivery and professional retention obligations, or per a specific engagement we agree on with you.
10. Information Security
We take reasonable, industry-accepted security measures — including encrypted transport (TLS / HTTPS), access controls to internal systems, and continuous monitoring. However, no system is completely immune, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed. In the event of a cyber incident that may affect personal information, we will take appropriate steps in accordance with applicable law.
11. Your Rights
Under the Israeli Privacy Protection Law and the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- The right to access information held about you;
